Pump size?

Just saw where someone has a
Delavan Power Flo 12 volt chemical water pump for cheap.
It's in good condition, but  it's only rated at 5gpm and 45psi.Will that be good enough? For this price I think I'll get it at.
I'd hate to pass it up ,but I know the most of you use the Delavan Fat Boy 7gpm.
Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks as always

What is the model number on the pump? It will help you get the right information.

Carolina - from what I read through many of these threads, several people have had great success w/ the 5gpm Delavans, but most have chosen larger pumps for an even more optimal performance. But my best recommendation would be to get w/ Lori above. She is extremely knowledgable and will steer you in the right direction for equipment.

Hey Guys what type of battery is good for the Delvan 5850? I am talking cold cranking amps(I think?) I could use some help here. I am finally getting a half decent setup going now and I need some advice for hooking up the battery.
Should I just go to Walmart and get a marine battery?
I was just in Lowes and they only have up to 300 cranking amps. And keep in mind I am in Philly. ( If that means anything? I don't get the cold cranking amps. sounds like a good gimmick to me or something you hear on a truck commercial) I am tech and mechanical savvy I just don't have the whole auto thing down yet.
Appreciate the help as always have a good day all!

I run a deep cycle trolling battery- 720 cranking amps- 115 amp hours. From what I gather a trolling battery will give you longer run time between charges. Go with deep cycle marine battery !

COLD CRANKING AMPS--- Term that describes the power that can be drawn from battery in cold weather---obviously in my region this will help out.

(I am doing some battery shopping for that 700 CCA, Thanks again!)

Does anybody use one of those trickle chargers? I always thought it was best to run your battery dead and then juice it back up to exten the life of the battery. Is this correct? I have been doing some reading about trickle chargers and these battery maintenance things that you hook up like a trickle charger. Honestly is seems like a waste of cash to me but I don't want my battery dying on the job either.
I would appreciate some insight.

Want to know If I messed up with the pump I bought. I am still using the pump up right now. Its a delavan.... 2gpm, 60 psi, on demand, vitan seals, etc. Model 7812. I dont want to jump too fast up to an air powered pump. Havent attached it to the trailer yet. I dont mind taking more than an hour to do a roof, for now. As long as this pump will get the chems to the roof, A slight increase in speed of application, I'm happy. Did I make the right choice?

I never used that pump before and if it is working I would not worry about it? Next you can step up to the 5850 or the 12v fat boy, then to air powered.

However I think you might of wanted to at least start out with the 5850... 5 gpm.
