Ok the idea behind the color,What we try to do is do the big jobs or high traffic area jobs on saturdays (when people are out)! alot of time when we are cleaning and i am on the roof i see about 300 hunred WOMEN drive by on the phone and some look up and some dont!

Last year we were cleaning a roof and had kids playing outside about 400 hundred yards away,as soon as they seen us they were hooked,then the parents came outside,then we had people driving up and getting the number off the trailers$$$

I am not saying that the color is a everytime thing,I am look for that extra grabber if you know what i mean, that you could use if you want to!If it can be done RIGHT,not cause a break down in SH,not leave a firm,and still get great resluts!

Also I have a local guy that loves to bash us and even follows my trailers around and try to get the jobs we are doing,he also take our door hangers off and puts his up! he loves to watch us EVERYTIME WE CLEAN A ROOF, I have had him go to the homeowner and ask them what did we use to clean the roof!,so i would love to be able to mess with his head when he see a differ color all the time,he is just a snake

What kind of bashing does he try to use against you?

If I caught someone like that in Greensboro doing that to me, it's gonna be ON!!!!!  furious

No i think the dye would be awesome for curb appeal i see a huge benefit,,,, it really sets you/us this service apart! In sales its not about the product, the result matters, but its the EXPERIENCE!

Just a matter of time,ha ha! Just looking for things to grab people and make them go home and look at their roof? People think about something like roof cleaning and the 5 mins later they are thinking of something else,just want something to stick in their mind!

No offense, but seriously, you are in the wrong industry if you can't take the smell. EVERYTHING about you will smell like roof cleaning SH at the end of the day. You'll breathe it, taste it, wear it, bathe in it.

I personally like the smell,the smell to me means that me and my guys are making $$$,and the home owner is saving money as well!

but the people 2 houses down the road having a pool party my not feel the same!

Right on. Nothing like driving home stinking to high heaven of bleach, but knowing the bills are paid +.

I would consider a fragrance.... But then again id probably leave my mask off because I liked the smell.

Last summer I came up with a drum of carwash soap and used it house washes for a month or so. Man I miss that stuff! It smelled great. lol


Eric I dont remember where but you came up in a search I did up here the other day.

I don't use a fragrance normally for an average 40 gallon roof cleaning mix, but if I am doing a very large roof or a big commercial job I will.

The more chemical you use will obviously have a stronger odor in the air.

Toning the smell down with fragrance helps a lot, and gives customers that extra clean smell which associates them with a job well done.

Just thinking out loud and this probably has been addressed but what about pine sole? for a foaming agent and a pine smell? I am into the fragrance but not really the dye

Yes, I've used Pine Sol.  I like it.   I've also used Mr. Clean as well.
