I was at our scrap yard today. They'll let us get pretty much whatever we want from there and just pay whatever the scrap metal's going for at that time.Anyway, they had several, looked like 100gal tanks, that someone sold as scrap, because of the banding. It appeared to be used as some kinda paint holder(each tank was a different color in them),but it had like a 3or4" tap at the bottom. Is there anyway that if I were to buy these and wash them out REALLY REALLY good and use them as a holding tank for the 'Love'?If so,how would I get the opening down to hose size?I could probably get them for about $30ea..Any ideas, suggestions,or comments would be,greatly appreciated as usual
.but what about the 3 to 4 " hole on the bottom....... that is the tough one.....what does that hole look like....what were they useing a hole that big on the bottom for?
Yeah Mike.I just read a post where they say bottom drain is no good,so I guess that'll cancel this venture out.Oh well,it was an idea.I don't know why I can't get it through my thick skull,IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE,THEN IT PROBABLY IS!lol Thanks though man
your going to need something like this for the bottom......it is like a nut and bolt but the bolt will have threads in side so you can twist a plug in it.......with pipe tape of course.......
Thanks Mike.I might try doing something with it.I'm usually pretty good at figuring out how to make something work, but I want to be 100% comfortable about no leaks
Yeah I can't figure out why in the world they'd be at the scrap yard...lol..I would imagine it's aluminum casing around them because it was pretty durn easy to flip them when I was checking for potiential holes in them.Who knows.I think I'm gonna try seeing if they're still there Mon.
Is there a better way to wash out a used tank that will help redue the effects of a bad chemical reaction?

You never know what could have been in that tank. Buy a new tank for $150.00 more. Buy what's fits best on your rig. Ruining a homeowners roof could cost big bucks to replace.
