The logo is Great!! But I Think the bug is gotta go. Don't forget homeowner look here for roof cleaning. I don't think they want a bug coming to there house to give them a estimate. But two each his own!!!
yes, that's a nice website, i liked the "no appointment necessary" it's cool to have a skycam feature. wether it's effective givng them quotes over the phone could be a different story. HO might just use your quote to shop for a better price specially if it's competitive there in roof cleaning, careful.
best wishes, rick

We are currently in the process of trying to get our pricing down. From what I understand that would be a fair price..but I don't really know. I don't want to cheat myself...or the homeowner.
What is the best way to figure fair across the board pricing?
I think most charge from 15 to 25 cents / sq ft with a minimum of $300. Looks like a small house but if you did both sides and the garage, you probably shot a little low. Do you know the sq footage of the roofs? Other things to consider are the pitch of the roof, the amount of algae, accessibility to the roof and anything else that makes it harder (or easier) to clean. Double check yourself sometimes. Take your estimate for the job and subtract your materials, hired labor, fuel, and anything else out of your pocket. Divide the rest by the amount of hours you had invested (before, during and after the job) and subtract your taxes. Was it worth it? If not, re-work the estimate. Don't sell yourself short.
That is a common house here on Long island, I would have gotten no less then 400 for just the front....If I did the whole house I add an extra 200.....half of the front...because I am already there and set up.With the price of Liabilty Ins,car ins, gas, equipment purchased, equipment up keep, labor, possible damage to house or a plant or even a shrub and paying yourself you cant do that house for $325-
I was wondering that myself with those avatar's he uses. He's got a great looking logo. But he seems to be mocking all the hard work the Certified contractors put into this board. Being certified is not a joke. If a homeowner come here a see's garbage plastered all over the board. Certification means nothing! I for one have been working hard to get certified and I believe this board should be respected by all who post here. Avatars should not be a bug, cat or a dog. This is a roof cleaning board and the avatar should have something to do with a roof cleaning board. So lets clean up here guy's and look like the professionals that we are. Thanks for your time Art Oliveri
For all of you in question...Yes I have cleaned a hand-full of roofs as I continue to get my boots wet. I didn't realize that an avatar could have such a negitive effect on ones image. As I scroll through the vast variety of users on this site, noticing that most have a form of cartoon character. I didn't think it was an issue that would be considered a problem.
It's all about sense of humor! Most people, including home owners enjoy an individual that can make them feel at ease while providing knowledge and trust.
