Plus, thats a F 450 !!! Nothing wrong with a F 450, but for just a summer roof cleaning rig, for a company just starting out, I think I would look for a F 350 or equivalent, Maybe a F 250 if a really great deal. (I like the dual tires on a 1 ton) Look at this little bastard in the Pic below. It was my FIRST real roof cleaning truck, bought right after a trailer with 500 gallons of mix broke off and landed upside down! NO more trailers for me!
I had to re do the springs, added an extra leaf, It was horribly underpowered,, but this little bastard packed a mean punch. He was equipped with a John Blue DP 193 ( 19.3 GPM at 250 PSI )! In this picture, this proud little warrior stands tall, after single handed taking down the who apartment complex in the background! Unfortunately, The John Blue DP 193 was radically changed, and is no longer reliable. But trust me, it would spray circles around the Air Diapraghm pumps we now use. We traded speed for reliability
I have a friend who has worked for ford pretty much his whole life. He said a F150 is really meant for family use, the brakes need changing often and alot of things will go quickly if used for any decnt work. He said big difference in a F150 and a 250, 250 really meant to handle tough work.

My Personal daily driver truck is a 2007 F 150. The newer Ford F 150's have decent payload specs, but I agree, a F 250 is a better choice for our use.
And, it don't have to be a Ford, I just am not familiar with Chevys and Dodge designation for 3/4 Ton Trucks.
Cris thanks for the last post you made the more I read about Ford the more disturbed I got!!! All you need it to try a CUMMINS The only way we have 4 of them and will never go away!! If you are looking to make a flatbed I would not do anything but a dually the extra wheel support means alot xsecially if you are hauling liquid with you a little slopping in the tank throws the truck a good bit.
