I have been using a 1/2" with my delvans for the last two years, I like it I feel I waste less. With this setup I can do an average size cape with twenty gallons. Mike you suggested the 5/8,knowing your knowledge of the delvans is there an advantage? Thanks Pat

Real Simple, the bigger the diameter and the shorter your hose is, the better.
5/8 would have been better, 3/4 better still.
There is a LOT of misinformation floating around the Internet.
Real World flow test with 12 volt pumps have been done, and posted over the years on the Internet by both Tim Asleton, and our own Mike Sullivan.
1/2 inch hose will work, but robs your pump of flow and pressure, compared to an equal length of 5/8 or 3/4 hose.
