Got dropped off Google maps

I think I mentioned this before. Use the Google webmasters forum and all the google secrets will be revealed just like roof cleaning secrets have been here.

They talk a foreign language on there as far as I'm concerned. I think it may have something to do with a java update that got installed during an update??? There are some others on ARCA that are having the same problem. Nobody can figure out what caused this and Google won't answer us either. HELP!!

I orginally just got listed through no actions of my own. How? Your guess is as good as mine. Then after top listing for over a month, I just disappeared. Can't be found anywhere, and nobody can tell me why.

Gary, I think either merchant circle or show me local offers a 99 dollar service to get you listed in all the local searches ?
Go ahead, spend the money buddy, it is worth it!
I think someone flagged your listing, a local competitor perhaps ?
You can ask why till blue in face.

Gary,
If you type that question directly into Google, you will find a ton of results devoted to your topic. It seems to be pretty common, but the answers vary greatly! Anything from being flagged as spam to updating your listing can be causing you not to show up. I spent an hour looking at all the different answers. If you have the time, check it out!

You make these by getting a Google account, and creating a local listing for your company.

I deleted my google maps listing, and immediately made a new listing and I appeared immediately. Good to be back on the map!!!!!

Do NOT neglect Yahoo Local Listings, they are free, and they will sometimes show up in the Google search results!
Go to Yahoo and make one everybody, report back here when you have done so ?

I got my Maps listing again. Went on Google maps and re-submitted my info and immediately showed back up on maps when doing a search. Thanks to all who helped.
