Picking up good info here Chris. Realize I need to edit alot of, info on my pages as well. I laughed my bottom off when I read:

Thats simply a choice you have to make. I joined (ARCA) to get as much info as I could get about the non pressure roof cleaning industry. I wouldnt say one is better than the other or try to compare them. Join as many sites as you can and learn as much as you can.

What you do is up to you, but I would suggest the same thing to you I suggested to Sal.
Learn how to clean roofs first.
I know of no better place to do that then here at RCIA.

When linking out, always try to link to highly ranked pages, and place the highest ranked ones at the TOP of your link list, if possible ?
The RCIA Certification is what is called a "Bullett"
It is a sales advantage, that shows the potential customer you are able to do the job!
As such, it belongs on every page, to remind potentail customers!

You also want to try to get links to your web site from highly ranked web pages in Google's eyes. You can download the Google tool bar and they have an option on there that you can use to see the page ranking of any page you are on. Page ranking is different than search rankings. Page ranking is very important when you are setting up links to and from your web site. One link to your web site from a page that ranks highly is worth much more than 10 links from pages that don't rank at all.

Everyone should spend some of their down time researching these topics specifically in regards to Google. It can help!

I think it is helpful to belong to quite a few QUALITY associations. It is all about learning and finding new ways to grow and improve your business. You never know where that new tip will come from. I belong to many organizations. I'm not as active on some of them as I am on the roof cleaning ones, but I utilize the information on those sites quite a bit in my business. I'm sure Chris will tell you the same thing. I find him posting everywhere when I do searches on roof cleaning. He creates traffic to his web site by doing that and I'm sure he finds some kind of useful information that he has benefited from on those sites.

Chris has been instrumental in my business taking a huge step this past year. He gave me some information, by way of private message, on web sites and I took that information and researched it heavily to help me get search rankings. I am ever greatful for the help this association has given me.

Dave Westerman has been responsible for many changes I have made in my equipment set up, posting techniques and search engine optimization. Many of the long detailed posts that you come across here belong to Dave. He is a wealth of information.

I don't think this is a competition between the two sites? I have never felt that there was an issue belonging to either one. They have different views as to where they want to take their associations and it is up to the individual member as to whether or not they want to be a part of that association's direction. I see benefit and value in each of these associations.

I'm a proud member of both the RCIA and the ARCA.
