i was thinking of getting a 1000 gallon water tank for my shop so my tanks can be filled out of it with a 2 inch 90 gpm pump-to save time on refill during the day as needed, just wondering if anyone else does something like this,or even something more efficent-thanks, mark

How big of a tank are you hauling? Extra equipment, maintenance, costs.

Why do you need such a big tank and pump?

Are you getting that much business or are you overcompensating before you have the ACTUAL need?

It may serve you better to have the work lined up and consistent rather than spending extra funds (unless you have money to burn?) that could be used more effectively for use in keeping your business operational and have that spare start up capital in reserve for marketing and  advertising?

Are you talking about having 1000gal. of love then filling your tanks out of that? The only way that would be effective or worth it is if you had a a bunch a jobs lined up in a row. If not the love might get to deluted before you can use it all. Having a 250gal tank on a trailer or truck is a enough to get the jobs done in a day, unless you had really really big roofs to clean. I don't think it would be worth it.

You will be much better off just making love on site. Legally (if that tank will hold chemicals) you will need a thousand gallon containment bin under that tank! And if you have this tank in a residential area, you will probably be breaking the law there two.....Please check your state and federal standards before making any chemical storage areas.

Please to all of my roof cleaning brothers and sisters remember that what we are doing is much more dangerous than people like to think. A thousand gallon tank full of love that spills into a local water supply or private wells could kill people !!

And don't think it can't happen. These tanks are usually polyethylene and it only lasts so long with the SH. eventually it will eat a hole in it.
