I love the look of foam, foam has "clean" written all over it and it would also keep the SH on the roof and off the roses, clip this thing on the end of your hose and "hay presto" instant cling foam. they cost around $100
It would be very close to the same as Downstreaming. It may be ok for House Washing etc...but not for Roof Cleaning. It will dilute the SH way to much.
so you don't think you can hook that gadget up to the end of the Chem hose?
It's too early to think! LOL...I was figuring y'all were talking about just using a garden hose with water and putting the mix in the container....Either way, I know guys who have tried it and it didn't work out very well and they were using an actual foamer. If I have time I'll try to find the post/clip of the foamer.
Larry I had to edit the post as your link was stretching the forum. Pat -- Edited by Roof Cleaning Palm Harbor FL 727 543 3276 on Sunday 29th of November 2009 09:42:40 AM

It's not down streaming! you use the mixed love as you normally do, the attatchment would just fit to the end of the hose and "add" more foam to the output providing a thicker foam on the roof, the love would be the same strength as before but with added foam to help keep it on the roof. your job is roof cleaning, not garden watering

What do you think?
The little bit of foam in the video is not worth the cost. I get more foam than that using my homemade wands and my fatboy with the regular apple solution.
As for a foam applicator and the look of having foam I would not feel that would be such a worry. if your using the mix of love, your before and after look would speak for it self. Keep it simple, good luck.
Ok. no problems, just came across it and thought it might work. what I was thinking when I saw it was that when spraying the roof more then half of what you spray up there runs straight off, so half of the Sh only has a few seconds to do it's work before dripping/running off the roof onto Mrs Jones garden. SH has a working life of about 15 minutes when applied, it seems to me that the SH dose most of it's work on the ground in the garden since it is no longer "on the roof" my thoughts were (regarding foam) was, Hay what would happen if the stuff actually sat on the roof for say, well, lets see, how about 15 minutes? (I will add here that 80% of our roofs are TILE ROOFS and water runs of them like water off a ducks back) so I was just trying to find ways to keep the stuff on the roof for longer to do what I paid it to do.
Don't get me wrong I'm not having a go at any one, just thinking out loud, tossing idea's around, chewing the fat and all that, I already know what works, and that is the way you all are doing it, and that is FACT. but "what if"
But, on another issue: not every one lurking around this board is from the USA, congratulations on providing an International Roof cleaning Forum for us all, Thank you!
But I come from a whole other country (you can't get here by bus) and some things are different, like shingle roofs are only found on Mc Donald's restaurants where I come from, but hay, we have two of them in Town, even if i clean both of them what am I going to do after smoko (morning Tea break) back to tile and tin roofs, so my thoughts are centered around tile & tin roofs. Hay want to see them? go to goole earth and tap in Port macquarie Australia. Here's a thought Show me your google earth town

You want your love to stick around longer?? Try the new "billy bob" amoxyln lo. Used it for first time today and had to TRY to get it to run off the roof. GREAT STUFF!
