I'm ALL ABOUT buying the right equipment the FIRST time. I'd love to see some more on this topic from the experts. Even after 95 posts to this forum, I still find topics (like this one) that are WAY over my head. Keep thinking out loud guys! I'm not very creative (mechanically) so, I really appreciate those of you that are clever enough to do my thinking for me. I may not have allot to offer this forum right now but, I will have value someday. In the meanwhile, I'll sit here and look good.
True story: My wife and I went to a party last night and she says... "Just don't be yourself".......... For real?!!! I admit that I’m not perfect but, holy crap!...Who ever heard of such a thing?I showed her though.I punched her in the gut pretty hard.

This is crazy, but I'm loving it. I think everytime I but something even a very minor part of my roof cleaning system I find something better the next day on this forum. We all have to start somewhere. I am just going to make a wish list of the REAL MACHINES you guys have and cross things out as they get better and hopefully by the time I can afford a decent setup I will have the right knowledge

Be careful Billy, an excess of sodium hydroxide will turn the roof black, and you will be forced to use pressure to rinse that chit off

Any updates on the vari flow system? I'm thinking of going with a 15scfm compressor, a half inch All-flow kynar pump, dual manifold, clear intake tubing with pinch valves and check valves going to the top of two tanks, but I can't seem to find flow meters that will hold up to sh that won't restrict the flow. I really want to be able to simply read a meter and adjust the pinch valves so I can not only know that both tubes are primed but exactly how much of each liquid is flowing. I also would like to inject my soap somehow (like AC's systems do). Can anybody help me with these details?

I gave up on the vari flow John, here is why. We only clean shingle and tile roofs, so we have dual tanks already made up with tile and shingle chemical we switch back and forth with.
Tile strength chemical whitens the fuk out of s walks and d ways, and we softwash with shingle strength by simply wetting the surface to be cleaned first with water.
The vari flow is touchy, and one side can prime w/o the other one, if you are not careful.
never found any valve that will stand up too SH that I could afford
Bob from Ugly Shingles has mastered the soap injection downstream, and there is a thread here dedicated to it.
The pinch valves are pretty accurate, and have numbers on them.
Once you find the right settings, you can repeat them.
