Here is a roof I did. The after pics were after two coats, no rinse. I have to wait till it rains to get some good after photos. The temp was in the low 50's when I did this

the white stains are big colonies of lichen. After I spray, these lichen colonies seem to turn white. I have had this on almost every house I have done.

are you sure those white stains are Lichen? because isn't Lichen a type of fungus and if so wouldn't the love have cleaned it? I have never seen such a thing.
That is a nice cleaning job, Well done. When you take new pictures of the roof try to take them with the sun on the roof no clouds it really makes for better after pictures.

Easier said than done. We probably won't see the sun in michigan until next April lololol.

I don't know about the lichen just falling off after a wash. I have never had any that was just gone. The lichen is growing on the roof. Need to kill it for it to come off. Then, it could have something to do with the kind of pine trees the houses have around them that I have had this same thing with.
