Pressure tek's hose is an agricultural hose. 600 psi is overkill for roof cleaning.

It's also too heavy and too stiff.

The lighter weight 200 psi Kuritec hose Lori sells us is the way to go.

Thanks again Lori for selling us the best product at the best price!

Mike or Chris please just tell me what air flo pump you suggest and the hose size thanks for your help with everything

Starting out I would get a 12V Delavan pump.

If you are serious about full time roof cleaning, then get the 3/8" All-Flo pump Dave suggests on the Roof Cleaning Pumps thread with 200 ft. 5/8" Kuritec 200psi hose.

Clyde i agree with Bill on this one get the all flo pump an take the time to set it up and you will not be sorry. The total price difference is not that much. You mention you clean already you will be amazed when you get on a big deck or a big area of concrete covered in mold, just point and shoot in minutes the spraying will be done with the 3/8 inch all-flo.I went with the all-flo,air compressor set up and its great. No wires to rig up,no batteries to keep charged etc.Good luck with it either way you go.Call and talk to Lori s Dad  he will have you ready in about 10 minutes.

Thanks Hal

Can I ask you what solution you use to clean concrete that is covered with mold, mildew and dirt?

Mix the sh 50-50 spray away let it dwell and the concrete should brighten up like new after you rinse. If it doent clean like you want it mix up some caustic beads and try it again on concrete dont put caustic mix on the decks unless you mix it way down. A high volume sprayer is a great tool to have if you are pressure washing or roof cleaning just pick which application is best for you air or electric.

FTW = For The Win!!

You want 8cfm minimum 16 cfm optimal from you air compressor. A torpedo will do fine as long as it is at least 8cfm. Search for the Air diaphragm posts. Cfm are the key to success. Also the bigger the air tank the better.

Over 100 roofs this season and no rinsing!! no jamming!!! no leaking!! No problems!! High flow rates that do not variate!! The All flo brand pumps are offset meaning they do not stall in dead head mode. My kvm-038 has never stalled once. The yammadahs have a reset button for when they stall and the versamatics stall every time and have to be disconnected/reconnected from the air to un-stall them.

Kynar FTW!!! Stay away from the poly pumps and remember there ARE NO KYNAR ELECTRIC PUMPS AVAILABLE. so they will fail every time from repeated use and NEED to be rinsed to survive.

AODD pumps dead head out when you close the valve compared to an electric that needs to be bypassed, shut off or just fries under load from being dead headed.

Bypasses fail and cause foam!!

It is true that electrics will get you by for a time, but the facts are simple....If you want ALL A rated materials against SH you can not find it in an electric pump.

Lori carries the AFKE038B3 All-Flo pump.  Is it made out of kynar?

What is the difference between that and the kvm-038 pump that Bill uses?

Great question! The KVM has the max-pass. All-Flo says it will only last half as long.

Max-Pass lets through larger particles.

For some reason the pump was a max pass. How concerned should I be about having a clean tank and cleaning solutions without the max pass? I was planning on using the pump to move dirty water sometimes for other applications...
