We would like to offer All-Flo and 12V diaphragm pump packages. We would like your thoughts on what kind of packages you would like to see.
For example, would you like to see a complete air diaphragm set-up including the compressor, custom length air hose, hose, fittings, filters, accumulator, chemical hose, nozzles, ball valve, wand, reducing bushing, QC's and reel? And trailer?
Based on your experience, what brand of air compressor do you recommend that we offer?
What about 12V AC and DC pumps with either demand or bypass set-up. We feel that we should only offer the pump with the regulator in the future. This will increase the life of the pump by fifty percent. We could offer the chemical hose, extra barbed fittings in brass and/ poly, filter, hose, fittings, filters, nozzles, ball valve, wand, reducing bushing, QC's and reel? And trailer?
These could be bundled together.
What do you think?
Please email or PM me with suggestions. Thanks for your time. Lori

Chris Tucker has recommended against using a regulator for years because none of them can withstand the LOVE.
That's why we've been recommending on demand 12V pumps and air diaphragm pumps with no regulators.
Spraying Systems makes a Poly Regulator with a stainless steel spring. It lasts awhile, but we experienced spring breakage. But we were using 19 GPM pumps at 225 PSI back then.
We always carried back up springs, until I got mad one day, and had my own springs made out of Hastelloy !!!!!
This reguilator may solve the "problem" of the Delavan that some report ?
I have not used any 12 volt pump in many years, and my knowledge of them is limited to what I hear.
Mike, you dont seem to have any problems with the Delavans, but I hear some do ?
I can get an all POLY regulator. What do you think? Lori
Get thos one, in VITON O Rings. Viton better then EDPM for the Roof Cleaning Mix. BTW, EDPM is real good for Love and Sodium Hydroxide use, but not quite as good as Viton for the Love.
Viton is A Rated, and EDPM is B Rated for roof cleaning chemicals we use.
Mike Sullivan is our Delavan Expert Lori, and several others here do use the Delavans.

Yes, I use large everything to make them run at peak performance. They'll last if they are installed how I recommend on the 12V FATBOY thread.
Unfortunately, some people are suckered into using the wussy hose, nozzles, and gun it comes with on the kits.

This is what causes them to fail so quickly.
Yeah, and I always make sure people ask you about the Delavans Mike. That Fat Boy looks like a great roof cleaning pump, especially for the Money!
My pump/air compressor set up costs over 1500.00. It does what we want, but we clean a LOT of roofs in a day. I am sure the Fat Boy will be fine for a more normal roof cleaning company, doing less work. MAYBE a Fat Boy will last, doing what we do ?
But we are heavily invested in our AODD pumps/compressors, and way too busy to experiment.
I lost a hose reel last week, and we are slammed with work. Just THAT set us back in scheduling.
We are currently putting together an air diaphragm package using the 3/8" All-Flo, KE-038-B3, air hose, Kuri Tec chemical hose with fittings, tank filter, wand assembly with tips and a reel, supply hose, and ag hose on the suction side. We are still loooking for the best compressor supplier.
I'd like nothing more than to purchase the complete set-up (package). I already have an air compressor though. I don't own a single other thing though. I only ever buy the best of everything when it comes to tools (not so for my wardrobe). I wish that I could help you with the design. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot! I'll be the first in line to buy the "package"

I'm still using the 12 volt delvan pump. I'm hoping to buy a better truck by the end of january 2010 I'll be calling you Lori, to order equipment. I wanna make sure I have evrything ready for next spring!!
Lori, I agree with Mike S. I think a 12V Fatboy set up with BIG everything would be helpful. I'd be inclined to buy one for a new rig if the price was right.
If new guys are going to go with these pumps, PLEASE take the advice given and go BIG or go home. Financially, it makes absolutely no sense to me to decrease the life of your pump and it's performance just to save a buck. In the long run, you will be spending more replacing parts, blowing fuses and eventually buying a new pump
