If your a member of the National Rifle Association, look on the back of your membership card and theres a number for NRA endorsed insurance programs for businesses.

Toledo Roof Cleaning uses Joe Walters insurance.  Also make sure before you step on anyones property to have your Workers Compensation insurance.  If you work alone which you shouldn't you still need Workers Compensation.

I also use Joe Walters. His company is very easy to deal with and they are quick with quotes and move forward fast if you need insurance in a hot minute.

Guys I have no problem with Waters, except they told me they could not write workers comp for PA in regards to roof cleaning. Marc Millison at Kramer Warner can write workers comp. Call him. It costs you nothing to check around. Joe Waters was the first place I checked, but he couldn't come though for me. Marc @ Kramer Warner could. Check him out. He is a good guy.

Price isn't everything. Shop around and get the best service. You need someone that works for you. When you have a problem you want the guy who looks out for you all the time. My guy writes comp in my state and follows up with me multiple times a year. I am not knocking Joe Waters, but he couldn't do what I needed and Marc @ Kramer Warner could. Just check around and make your best decision

It looks like most here use Joe or Marc.  Haven't heard anything bad about either.  Will be calling both, and Erie.  Will let you know who could best accommodate.

It is such an awesome thing to have a forum like this, where guys are willing to help each other out. I need insurance too, waiting till spring and shopping around for the right price and coverage. It seems like some companies I've called are hesitant to write a policy for a new roof cleaning business. Maybe I've just not called the right folks yet.

Joe Walters is the way to go, had 3 or 4 quotes that were as much as 600 dollars higher and didn`t cover using chemicals on a roof.

Most insurance companies don't even have a roof cleaning catagory and will just throw you in the "roofing contractor" bucket when giving you a quote in which you'll be paying quite a bit more. Roofing contractors pay a much higher premium because of the obvious liabilities.

Funny, if you look at this post you will notice that I had made a response to the initial post with my agent's contact information. Then this post from Dustin was after mine because he was responding to my post. Odd how my post is no longer there? Why would it be deleted? Don't want competition for Joe Waters? Seems odd that someone would delete my post? I have nothing to gain from people using Marc except that they may have another option. I don't usually worry about that type of stuff, but it was actually something that maybe would help others. Doesn't make sense.
