Very simple Chris. Just make sure you wires from the battery to the pump are not too long. I wouldn't go much longer that 2 ft if possible.

I can tell you from experience, too much wire is NOT good. I experimented with running the wires from the battery in my truck and the wires melted and fried a pump on his second voyage. Costly lesson. I guess it goes to say that "Shorter can be better"

I did the same thing before Gary. LOL...Glad to see I'm not the only one. I've still got the same wires from my truck but have them attached to the marine battery so it charges it when I'm driving.
