Hey finally had Keith at KBK do a logo and this is what he came up with. What do you think and are there any changes you would make? Keep in mind we are not just doing roofs. Like most of us here.

I like it as a logo. Couldn't fit the name of your company any better.

The more I look at this the more I think it needs something else. Mirror thing on the head and a stethascope? What do you think?

Mirror thing on the head, definitly. That will make him look like a Doctor. Stethoscope would be too cluttered.
Otherwise it looks very prfesional.wink

Pat, maybe put the chimney on the other side of the roof and give the guy a hat.

Good catch Kevin thanks. It does look like the top of a hat he would be wearing.

Here is what I have so far...

1. Move chimney
2. Add Mirror on the doc's head.

Anything else you can think of? I don't want to have keith make endless changes. Man this guy is a wizzard. I didn't know what I wanted and this is what he came up with. I like it but as is it just seems to be missing something. Going to think on it this weekend and then send the changes on monday.

Pat please let me be honest with you. A Doctor in people`s mind fixes things. How can you fix cleaning ? How about cleaning specialist or cleaning master with a little guy to fit the bill? I`m just trying to save you $ 250.00 for a logo you might regret. Your RCIA brother Kipp

Thanks Kipp. In my mind a doctor fixes a problem, you are right. Finds a cure. Something is dirty and the doctor has the cure or prescription if you will.

Thinking of a couple of tag lines to go with the logo

We have your prescription (or cure) for dirt!
Mold got you down? Call the Cleaning Doctor for your cure.

These are just 2 that I have come up with.

Very good slogan Mike. I might add the word is?

Is Exterior Mold making you sick?

Call the Cleaning Doctor!

The scope could work if done right.

1.

The Cleaning Doc...
"Your one stop professional solution
for enhancing your home's exterior"

2.

"STOP! Call the CLEANING DOC!"

3.

"The Cleaning DOC, makes House calls!"

Pat,

I know you clean other things besides roofs, but have you considered creating at doing business as "DBA" name specific to roof cleaning? I am a window cleaner by trade before I got into roof cleaning. I didn't want to advertise roof cleaning under Clear View Window Cleaning. No one thinks of roof cleaning when they here window cleaning. The same could be said about The Cleaning Doctor. At a glance, no one is going to know what you do. Carpet cleaning, house cleaning, someone might even think that it's a knock off of a Rug Doctor.

I spent quite a bit of time thinking of different business names before I decided on the one that I did. I sent a list of potential names to business contacts, family and friends. The most constructive feedback I got came from someone that asked "what do you want to be know for?". After I thought about that for a minute it was easy to discard most of the names that I had come up it. While my business name isn't overly creative it doesn't leave anything to the imagination. At a glance everyone is going to know exactly what I do.

Please don't take this as I'm knocking your business name, I'm just trying to give you something to think about.

I personally like to have the word "roof" in the business name since this is the primary cleaning prodecure I target.  If you target other cleaning more than roofs then a more general name could be fine.  If you look at everyone else's name of their business on here you will see that the majority of the guys have roof clean or something similar in the name of the business.  You want people to know that you clean roofs.  That's my opinion.  Hope it helps.
