Question here about my setup. I have the Fatboy, and for the time being am going to run it from a Marine battery (until I figure out how to hook this battery up to either a solar panel, or to my main truck battery) The battery that I have (brand new from Advanced Auto) says that it has 1000 cold cranking marine amps (which can't be as good as Army amps but anyways lol j/k) 115 amp hours and 180 reserve capacity. My question is how much time do you think I will have between charges for this battery. Is there any formula to help figure this out, or can someone give me a ballpark figure??
I have mine set up as to where my truck battery is always charging my deep cycle marine battery for my Roof Cleaning pump. It works out great that way. I never have to worry about the battery dying out in the middle of a Roof Cleaning and I never have to manually charge it.
How do you run your wiring and what guage wire do you use. Why don't you just go straight from your truck battery to your pump?
Thank You, Mike
On mine, I ran a #8 hot wire to a electrical dis-connect box box mounted at rear of truck. Picked up the ground from the frame at this point. I have a Chevy 3500# Diesel Dually with dual batteries. I run the pump and a LED moving message sign while cleaning the roof, with the truck engine off. Never had a problem, yet, since it all re-charges going to the next job. The LED sign is way cool!! Really gets attention.
Here is my truck with the LED moving message sign mounted and turned on. If you leave it on going from job to job, it really gets peoples attention. I also sell these signs. You can program 100 messages in them, in 9 different languages. Very easy to use! I run this off a dc inverter. Real attention getter, and you can changes messages daily if you want. Very cost efficent form of advertising. Special pricing for members. Call me; Gary Weyer 502-773-1730
I didn't think we could us the ARCA or RCIA on our site until we were certified.
Are those pictures of roofs you did? If not who did you talk to for permission to use them? Just asking so I know when I make flyers to advertise for my company...
how much is that sign? do you have it in the back too? I think it will work a lot better in the back, but what about state traffic regulations are you allow to do that?
