We have been using pump sprayers and washing with an x-jet

Pump Sprayers!!? S-T-O-P wasting time my friend. Use that search button and you'll hit gold. I use a ball valve, about 5-6 inches long. I know Mike Sully uses a ball valve as well, as do many others here. We don't rinse, period. Waste of time, IMO.

I agree that a ball valve is the way to go. I bought a nice looking spray gun from a sprayer shop that could adjust the stream from a direct stream to a fanned out pattern. I thought that was pretty cool and would come in handy since I wouldn't have to switch out tips etc... Piece of junk!!! Started leaking on the first job. Today was my first job using a ball valve and it worked awesome. I won't waste my money on another spray gun again.
