Im new to roof cleaning and learn more every day but no one talks about what type wand or spray tips to use.

We have been using pump sprayers and washing with an x-jet

what type of spray wands are used with the 12 volt pumps and is this the same you use to rinse?

Pump Sprayers!!? S-T-O-P wasting time my friend. Use that search button and you'll hit gold. I use a ball valve, about 5-6 inches long. I know Mike Sully uses a ball valve as well, as do many others here. We don't rinse, period. Waste of time, IMO.

I agree that a ball valve is the way to go. I bought a nice looking spray gun from a sprayer shop that could adjust the stream from a direct stream to a fanned out pattern. I thought that was pretty cool and would come in handy since I wouldn't have to switch out tips etc... Piece of junk!!! Started leaking on the first job. Today was my first job using a ball valve and it worked awesome. I won't waste my money on another spray gun again.
