Hello friends!

I am a new roof cleaner and had a question about the techniques you all use.  Using the non pressure method with the chemicals you all use, such as apple cider sauce or apple cider, etc., do you actually see the roof coming clean as you spray the solution on the roof from the tank?  I guess what I'm trying to ask is if the pressure from the pumps helps clean the roof also or is it mainly the chemicals?  Do you actually need to spray each shingle specifically to get it clean or can you just cover the roof with a broad spray and just let the chemicals do the work?

Also, when I leave the customer's house should I be able to see the roof and all the stains removed?  Or does the customer have to wait a few days to see the difference?  I guess I am just having a hard time grasping the concept of just spraying the roof with a 12v pump and not having to rinse the roof and yet it will still come clean.  I've seen the pictures on here and they look great I must say of the before and after!  So basically I am wanting to know the exact method for cleaning the roof such as spraying technique and how close do you have to be the shingle for it to come clean?  Hope I'm not confusing anyone!  Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thank you friends!

NO PRESSURE. The chemical is doing all the work. If you look around the threads you will see guys shooting from the gutter line. Or Chris and his guys from Apple shooting chemical on a huge roof from a lift he rented.
Just do like I did and sit down for hours on RCIA. If a question comes up, type the key words in SEARCH. I answered most of my questions that way and still do.

Thanks for tips guys!

I've looked on here but could not find anyone who has posted the coverage amount of the chemicals.  How many coats of the solution should you put on the roof?  I assume if the roof is fairly steep the solution will drain towards the gutters faster so in this case do you need to spray multiple coats of the chemical?  Just checking.  Thanks guys!

I just did my first one and I started on the worst side up top and let the chemical run down to where it stopped and picked up there and kept it going until I got the whole roof covered and did the other side came back to first side hit any black areas again and when I left 1 1/2 hours after starting the roof looked 90% new

Thanks Covenant Carl!

Thanks for the information you gave me!  I greatly appreciate my friend!  You said it looked 90% better when you left 1 and 1/2 hours later.  Did it only take you 1 1/2 hours to clean the roof?  If so, did you put just one layer of chemical on there and did you rinse?  Were you using the Apple Cider Sauce mix?  Just curious.  Thanks again friend.

All the info you need is here in the forum but you will have to search for it. I guess its part of the RCIA culture. You gotta work for it. These pros are exceptional and will help you if you ask something that can not be found...but I think they want us new guys to put some effort into it. It shows we are serious and it shows respect for what they have done here.
You have to "want it"
Good luck.
