that's a good point about the economy. it baffles when when people tell me they can't afford to have their roof cleaned even after I explain that it will save them long term. roof cleaning is basically unheard of hear in Iowa too. I think we are essentially opening a new market in the north. I need to dust off my college textbooks about the diffusion of innovations....something about finding the opinion leaders in the community and training them to be the change agents rings a bell. Who are the opinion leaders? Maybe realtors, maybe the local college coaches, maybe the most successful financial advisor in town (people will listen when he says its a good investment!).

I have pounded more streets passing out flyers during my slow times than I care to remember. The one thing I learned from it is that you MUST speak to the home owner face to face.
