Has anyone resurched  fungicides as an additive.  I found two different fungucides and would like to know if anyone has info on them.  The first is BORA-CARE  active ingredient is disodium octaborate tetrahydate  the other is Sure Coat by M1 active ingredient not available.

Now that I am involved in this game...I read every chemical bottle than crosses my path hmm

If you look at funguicide treatments you can see the active ingredients and research a little. I would name a few... but have forgotten them... too much going on ...lol

Adding Borax to Apple Sauce acts as a fungicide. It is a very similar composition to Bora-Care. Do a search on the internet for Borax and read about it. One of its main uses is as an algaecide.

confuseIf your using Borax, try using Borate from a commercial pool supplier its 99% pure

 The two suppliers I buy from don't list it in their product lines. I haven't called the sales rep yet, but I guess I will give it a try.

Is it listed as Borate or is it considered algaecide or something where the active ingredient is Borate?

confuse Brian,the name on the container is Borate Extreme made by Nu-Clo ( Alden Leeds inc ) in new jersey and its 100% pure not 99% not that it makes any big differance
