I have learned so much from everyone here. Thank you all. Am I correct in saying that only 1 tank is needed on or in a truck (filled with the cider) and I do not need a rinse tank?
From what I read, there is really no need to rinse?!?!?!?
I love that , it should make the work a bit easier, that is for sure and cut down on the weight of the trailer?
My only thought is that wouldn't make it alot easier to get the neighbor referrals if you DO rinse and they all see the great job you just did?
Your thoughts are much appreicated. Have a great night!
Brad

I see results almost immediately. What happens first is the shingles get a soapy foam look and then when it dries the shingles are clean. Some spots you may have to hit again if they are tough. After a rain it will look even better but it looks good as is also. I have not rinsed yet.
So evidentially, the key to the whole roofing business is the precision of the cider? In other words, not getting it on things that it will destroy............painted aluminum siding, painted gutters and such?
Please let me know if my statement makes sense?
Thank you so much, Brad

You need water for the groundman if you don't have water for him thats when you would need a tank for water plus a pump, as for the mix getting on aluminum i see no problem just rinse a little after spraying,if your spraying for just black algae most of it will be gone before you leave the house and any signs of it will wash away from rain as long as you didn't miss a spot
Thanks again for the response. Any thoughts on roof cleaning being a 1 man job? I planned on doing it by myself, just curious if everyone has a groundman or not.
Thank you and have a great night. Brad

Two men are a MUST for safe, non pressure roof cleaning.
More than one tank is preferred as well. 2, 3 tanks are better and optimum.
Residential roofs, smaller homes (1,000 sq. to 1,500 sq. ft.) can be done by a single person but it is a pain in the tail end.
Also, it is unsafe, both for the plants and landscape, the exterior surfaces, both painted and /or stained, and for the Roof Cleaner who has to be both the ROOF cleaner, treatment applicator and waterboy/groundsman.
In my opinion and in my experience, this a recipe for disaster.
One guy cleaning roofs is like hiring a one armed wall paper hanger.
The job might get done but it may not be the best quality or the best image to put out there, plus it just makes the job of roof cleaning harder than it needs to be.

Well Brad here would be a little advice for roof cleaning, never clean a roof without a ground man. When your on the roof you do not always see what will splash over and far as you said getting on things like trimming, gutters etc, that is what he is for. My ground guy knows how to turn off my air pump, my air compressor because things will break or leak and come apart, like a ball valve. The ball valve turn part came apart and I had a hose nozzle break so you do need a ground guy, plus if you have to replace any kind of plants or flowers that will get pricey plus your reputation will suffer.
As for one tank, you do need only one tank for your roof mix but make sure your cleaning it out after use. Weather or not you use a air diaphragm pump or delavan 12 volt pump you still need to clean it out after use or things will rust or corrode on you. I hope this helps you, take care.
Nice job Dave, see what happens when I am trying to reply to a post and on the phone at the same time, you beat me to it. Good job on the info as always.
Thanks to both of you. I have been reading and learning for about 2 weeks on this site, and it really is addicting. I think I have something figured out, then I think of something else that I need to know.
I appreciate your time and thank you for your very detailed answers.
Too bad I cant make any money asking questions!!!!
