sizes vary from person to person and what kind of rig they have set up and what their truck and trailer configuration you dont want to be over weight or overload what your set up can handle  I have a 65 Gal. tank does one job about 2500-30000 sq ft

Try and make sure your tanks are not water only tanks, as in tanks rated for chemical use.

Stuart, do you have another tank for SH or are you carring a barrel??

I keep my sh in drum but I don't carry it with me. I mix up in morning what I need for the day in 1 tank and water in the other.

Elite Roof Cleaners also does a  partial mix the night before, add SH in the morning, then add the surfacant on the job site. I always have a 15 gallon tote on the trailer just in case I need it , and we  pull from the top..

I personally run two 150 gl tanks side by side, long forward and aft, this also keeps the slugging back and forth of the water and roof washing mix, I will post a picture for you. Size my also depend on what your ability is to haul for weight in a trailer or a big size truck. Keep in mind your weight that your pulling or hauling because that makes a big difference.

I like your setup James. I have built out a number of box trucks and they work very well for what we do. I like flatbed truck best for what we do in the SOUTH.

Georgia and Florida we don't have as much to worry about with the winter freezing equipment like you all do up there in VA.

For what your doing it is a sound and secure way to haul all your gear safely and in one place without the hassle of dragging a trailer around.

Thanks for posting the pic.

I just bought a 275 gallon tank from a company that used to make soda flavorings. They lost the contract to another outfit and wanted to unload some of the 275 gallon poly tanks they transported the syrup in. Picked one up that looks brand new for $150. So now I have a 125 and a 275.

Thank you David, I tryed to make it easy on myself and plus to do any repairs or up keep with in the truck. I put down the Hercules liner from Northern tool and it helps a lot if something spills, I really like having those titan reels also. The truck is a 14 foot box truck, I will post some photos later but I am still saving money to have it tagged out with logo and listing with phone numbers, thanks again.

I have done 30 + roofs now with no problems feeding from the bottom. i have upgraded my tank valve and keep  my tank empty. 150 gal tank seems  to be prefect for me...

Glad to hear that you have done 30+ roofs from feeding from the bottom and you will probably do many more. Long ago I had went from the bottom but just found it worked better for me pulling from the top, leak issues and my pump just worked better. Good luck to ya and thanks for the picture.
