For years I had to replace my hose ends and quick disconnects prematurely when I did a LOT of Flatwork (concrete cleaning of malls, walkways, parking garages, etc.).
I have been meaning to post this for a while now so you guys can all benefit.
Its simple to keep the dirt and grit out of the ends of your hoses when rolling and unrolling them on jobs.
How?
Just use a TENNIS BALL (for 1/2" QC )or a raquet ball for those using 3/8" ends.
I use Quick Disconnect on most everything. ALL STAINLESS STEEL.
They are expensive and I want to make them last.
So, here's what I do.
I cut a small "X" in one side of the balls and INSERT the hose END into it. The Ball is rubber and naturally grips the ends and allows for easy sliding over grass and even concrete.
Once your all rolled up you remove the tennis or raquet ball and store in a safe place until your next job.
Most important, IT SAVES the QC or QD's and saves you MONEY!
I hope this helps!
All the Best,
Dave
