just to let you know that not all colored fabric bleeds. I have a black hat and some black Nike's that haven't bleed yet. it's my guess that synthetic fabric tent to hold up better than natural fibers ie cotton. One side note white can turn to a pale yellow depending on fabric type over time

I wear Dickies blue uniform pants, muck boots and Dickies button up brown shirt for the work. I wear Hawaiian shirt and shorts to look at jobs unless it's on the way from another job.

Hey Jeff, I have the dickies blue pants and brown button ups with embroidered logos for our commercial cleaning business. How do these hold up against the LOVE? Thanks for the input.
everyone please chime in and give me some constructive criticism. what are your thoughts?

As have you can see, we use exactly what you are thinking of. I also have white polo shirts that I wear for estimates.

Thanks for the input Dan. Looks good, I think I may stay with the white.
How has your season been in WV? been wet or dry up there? We have
had rain at least once every other day for over a month disbelief

we can use it,
but it makes for a difficult time to schedule outside work.
Anyone else have any thoughts or pictures. Thanks

I took the advice of Mike Sullivan and got blue dickies from Walmart, I also listened to his suggestion on grey shirts from them also.....the shirts are like ten bucks and the pants are about twenty. The grey shirt holds up real well,the dickies do also...they get a little discolored but you really don't notice it.

Thanks Pat, I will try the colored dickies I have, and see how they do. I also have the dickies pocket T-shirts from Walmart, Blue and brown, and they now look like they are poka doted from the LOVE.

I want to try and finalize a regular uniform that myself or any employees will wear all the time on the jobs. Trying to get everything in order, working on the website, business cards, lawn signs, etc. etc. Thanks again.

Take it from experience.

Wear White Shirts and Slacks like the Painters when possible otherwise you will looking like a big polka dot in NO TIME flat.

I have ruined so many blue jeans and shirts buying colors, no more.

Love gets everywhere. Kind of messy, just like the REAL thing :)

I buy my long sleeves shirts from Walmart in the summer and my short sleeve shirts in the winter all at closeout prices $1.00-3.00 per shirt, then I get custom embroidery done locally.

I wear collared shirts to estimate and bid and keep one color BLACK silkscreened LOGO white tee shirts (Hanes or Beefy Tee) in the trucks (sm-Med-Large and XL) that way everyone is wearing our logo even when hiring day labor on bigger jobs?

Chris, It has rained more than not. All I can tell customers is that I will clean ASAP , they understand with no problems. My thoughts on wearing white were that we are here to clean your house and nothing looks cleaner than white. Plus, it stays looking good. Wall Mart has painter pants for $18. so they are cheep. The only thing that I was conserned about,will they make my butt look to big? LOL

I personally like the button up shirts. One reason I like them is they simply breathe better than t-shirts. The space between the buttons allows air and also acts as a vent. They're also loose at the neck.
But with that being said, they hold up very well to the bleach and they don't get holes in them, they just fade away after about 2-3 years of use.

I also believe they hide dirt and grime stains better. White seems to get a grungy look to them after while, especially if your spraying style has you leaning on the rungs of the ladder. The aluminum rubs off into the shirt. But whatever you choose, tuck them in,...at least to start with!!

But we have become "Fat Boyz" in our old age, LOL

I wear white polo w/ RCIA logo embroid on left sleeve and company name on front for estimates and floracent green shirts when working , I want everyone to see us.. We glow ....Draw attention to yourselves, IMHO

Kid, Thanks for the input. I like the idea of the embroidered RCIA Logo That just ooozzzz's professionalism to a customer. Do the bright green shirts get poka dotted, or do they "hide" the bleaching effect? Its all about making people see you, and see the great work you are doing.

I use white long sleeve shirts with my company info silk screened on them and navy or black Dickies pants. The pants have had no adverse effect from the bleach. In fact, i have washed them in loads that have contained bleach. These pants are going on 3 years old and they still look very respectable.

I chose the white shirts because of the heat of the sun on the roof. They make a huge difference in your core body temperature when the sun is really blistering. I like to keep myself hydrated when i'm on a ladder and a lower body temperature makes it much easier to do that.

I chose the dark colored pants because the pants are the first place you see dirt show up. They seem to be a magnet for dirt and grime when you are unloading ladders and other equipment from you truck. Dark colors hide that dirt very well.
