How many coats did you put on the roof?I had the same thing happen to me and after a good rain it came clean and looked great,just dont rinse unless you have to,goodluck and Welcome

i put two coats on and i rinsed

it is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow so i will take a pic on tuesday and see if there is any difference.

I think you will be ok,how long did it sit til you rinsed

i let it sit anywhere from45 min to an hour then i rinsed then i repeated

I clean my roof at my shop and I put 2 coats on one area,then on the other I put 2 coats on and then I rinsed,the area I did at first came really clean without rinsing,and the area I rinsed did come clean but not as clean,after some rain it did look alot better,hope that helps,

Miked ..I think I know what your problem is with the yellow stain because it happened to me when I was rinsing. After I rinsed it and it dryed it almost looked like somebody spilt coffee all over the roof. It was one of my first free practice roofs for a friend and it was on busy highway. For days i kept rinsing it and it always dryed the same, I thought I would never be able to clean a roof and thought I had screwed it up. Turned out after a rain it was fine....came out real nice. But I couldnt figure out why the rain worked and not my rinsing. Then I figured it out, it was water from the spigot........but it was well water.....when i filled a gallon jug with water it was filty and yellowish. I know there are some towns that have their drinking water filtered through a filtering system......but not their gardening water. I bet that is the problem....let us know.

that could be the problem and it does look like someone spilled coffee on the roof. Like i said its going to rain tonight and all day tomorrow so i will check it out on tuesday and let everyone know how it came out. I just thought that you could not let the " love " dry on the roof that is why i rinsed. And thanks to all of those that replied with info on how to help I love this work and want to be the best in south jersey so i am trying to learn as much as i can .

Do they have a water filter or a well at the location.

I had this happen many times when I used non-chlorine bleach in the past and pw, and saw it yesterday using the proper shc methods, the rain will take it off as everyone has already said. It is a "chemical bed" that does not want to leave as it is sticky, and it is actually still helping your customers roof become completley sterilized. That is why many of the pros on this forum do not rinse the roofs they clean, and actually use not rinsing as a selling point. If your customer already understands that you are still learning this system, they should be considerate if you tell them that it being up there is a good thing. In a couple days/weeks after some rain it will look beautifull

they have a well and so do i we live in the same development. not sure if they have a filter system but if they do i an sure the spigot runs before it like ours meaning it is not filterd.

Good call Charlie, most of my jobs are done off well water, maybe some iron up in there.
