Should we ask vendors and equipment distributers to contribute to help pay for LOGO?

I would think we want to thinnk this through real good ?
So MANY boards are little more then one big INFORMERCIAL for certain vendors.
We want RCIA to be independant, and FREE to praise, OR condemn, any piece of equipment freely.
ANY of our advertisers must understand that, and accept it.
I certaainly dont want some vendor all over us because we dogged �something he sells

Very Good Points made, Chris.

I tend to lean toward your direction of thought on this issue.

I think we (RCIA Membership) need not sell our "roof cleaning soul" in order recieve some ad revenue.

We can distance ourselves and this board POSITIVELY from other websites and forums by, as you said, remaining Ad Profit FREE.

(Essentially I believe RCIA should be eventually set up as a NON-PROFIT, with contributions and donations coming ONLY from within our MEMBERSHIP)

That way we can have comfortable FREEDOM of SPEECH and unbiased review of equipment, chemicals, small parts, etc. either reviewing them positively or negatively based on performance not $$$.
