I agree with Kevin, #10 if certified would be added. I have multiple certifications in the roofing industry and certified is implimented in all. Let's the public know you've actually earned the status.
I like #2,#8 & #10 but I think "Certified Member" sounds & looks better in the publics eye, just my two cents , no one answered if #2 & #8 are the same ?
Maybe its me but whats the differance between #2 & #8
Good Going Vinny,
The difference between #2 & #8 is the liitle invisible Irish Leprechan in the LOWER far left corner of the logo applauding you catching my transposing the same logo twice
Joking aside, There is no difference Vinny, thanks for catching this.
With nine Logos and trying to find the best "System" to show all the images and having to go into the HTML and re-write the code several times to get them to display correctly, my old eyes just got tired.
Also, I have had some pretty heavy duty personal medical challenges lately that have it tough to juggle a full plate of responsibilities, the finalization of our RCIA membership LOGO just adding to my overworked, underpaid self
Got them posted though for all to see and set up the voting process so that's the good news?
Just a thought ,since we recommend certain companies to buy from on this site and they make a profit from us ,why don't we ask them for a donation for the cost of this and we can make a forum for them on the main topic board as" roof cleaning supplier vendors" hey one hand shakes the other ,just a way they should say thank you to us
Attn: All Members
This is VERY IMPORTANT
I MOVED this post (which I have deleted from this thread) to the Chemical Sales, Distributor THREAD category
Please keep this thread ON TOPIC pertaining ONLY to the decision of the RCIA Logo.
If we start up a VARIETY of sub topics, not SPECIFICALLY DIRECTLY RELATED to the IMPORTANCE of this MEMBER WIDE choice, then the decision to choose ONE FINAL LOGO may be DILUTED and may not carry the IMPACT and seriousness that we all need to give the UTMOST attention to.
Having said that, Vinny, (TROPO) that is a good point and would be an interesting NEW thread. Thanks for your suggestion. If anyone thinks this idea has merit and also thinks this idea that our RCIA member, TROPO, has bought up and you find it has value and should be ACTIVELY pursued, please address this topic in a NEW and SEPARATE thread.
Lets keep this THREAD, TOPIC based and not multiple random comments or thoughts that may vary or steer us away from the Topic for..............
FINAL Roof Cleaning Institute Of America LOGO decision.
Thanks for your attention in this matter

Just a personal observation about using a flag and the old red white and blue in different positions and portions of on a logo for business.
To the truely patriotic American, the flag is an adored, object of worship, representing the land they love and the men who have died for it. Using that symbol for advertising may offend some and may be against the code of ethics for the use of that symbol.
As I said, Just an observation and not necessariliy my own feelings at all? Taken from this website devoted to the US flaghttp://members.tripod.com/~Post_119_Gulfport_MS/flag.html
Respect for The Flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.
(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
(f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.
(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
(h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.
(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
