Can anyone provide input on the durability of powder coating in a chlorine infested environment. Was thinking about having a few of the smaller items powder coated, like engine frames and such.
I was wondering the same thing. Has anyone had any experience with rhino lining or fiberglass. I thought about using the new man made decking boards for the floor of my new trailer. I wanted to see if anybody has used these yet because they are a little pricey.

I have had many roof cleaning trucks, and NONE "survive" for long. The FUMES of what we use are corrosive. All we can do is slow down what is going to happen, eventually. I have rubber sheeted my flatbeds. They eventually rust! A BIG mistake on a roof cleaning truck is an overhead ladder rack !! This will RUST the cab, no matter what! Get used to it, roof cleaning trucks have a short life span. Think about THAT before you low ball roof cleaning ??
I used the NAPA Auto parts "Equivalent" to Rhino Liner. I don't think it is truely equivalent, but that's my opinion. I did that last year and so far no rust, but I also haven't done alot of roofs yet. When the deck gets wet, it seems to be a little less slippery.
It will not rust but probably oxidize a lot, just have not seen that, maybe you guys have?

My new sprinter is in for a extreme coating as we speak. After just 8 months of washing houses a bit of the paint they tell me under the floor was starting to come up. I caught it just in time. The new liner seems very tough, but its still in the shop and I didnt snap a picture of it yet.
I have a trailer rig set up for powerwashing, and we added roof cleaning 2 years ago. The deck was steel, washing equipment had powdercoated frames. Took less than two years to destroy the steel decking and powdercoated steel frames on our unit. We have since removed all steel and layed wood planking to help slow the corrosion. Im sure there is no really good answer other than a completely stainless trailer and stainless frames. too much money and weight lol.

Mike have you applied the powder coating yet? I wash my truck and equipment top to bottom including the undercarriage at least once a day with fresh clean water. Few times a week I will baste the bed with an oil rag. Still this only slows the rust and corrosion. Thanks
