Hello guys. My name is Stuart Hedden. I am the owner of Mobile ProWash LLC. I live about 50 miles west of St. Louis. I am a retired autoworker. Even though I'm retired from Chrysler it wasn't because I didn't want to work. I'm only 51 yrs old. I have to work because there is no guarantee that pension money will be there in a year or so. I have been reading about everything I could on the internet about roof cleaning so I've decided to try it. I've cleaned alot of houses with pressure washers and concrete driveways but I've never cleaned a roof. I know that I will have alot to learn while I'm working but I'm lucky (or maybe not) that alot of my friends and family have dirty roofs so there is no shortage of practice before I start picking up paying customers. All of you guys on this forum seem to be not so rough on the newbies and I appreciate that. I am starting to purchase all the equipment that I will be needing now but it doesn't get above freezing until about March. So until then I will be filling my brain with everything you have to talk about.
Welcome to the RCIA board Stuart. Lots of great info on here to get you started. Good luck to you! If you have questions or need any help just ask. I'm sure someone will be able to help.
This is the best place to learn. I was spinning my wheels trying to figure all this out until I ran across the info that Chris from Apple roof cleaning in Tampa florida among others were handing out to all those who asked. Learn from their experience. It has helped me tremendously in cleaning roofs in Cleveland and Columbus Ohio
Welcome to the Roof Cleaning Institute Stuart! My Dad was an auto worker in Detroit, before we moved to Tampa. Ask as many roof cleaning questions as you want. We are all here to help you clean roofs.
Thanks Guys. I've actually been here for about 6 months reading as much as I could every time a new post came in. I would not have even thought of cleaning roofs until I came across this forum. I was just going to wash houses and driveways. So thanks to you all.
