If you perform a search on price or pricing, you will find alot of information that might give some idea of averages in your area. Good Luck.
Every area is different. If no one in your area provides roof cleaning services, then YOU set the prices. If you have competition, adjust your prices accordingly. Do NOT price cheap, and do crapppy work like the hacks. Do a good job, and charge accordingly.
As far as I can find, there aren't any others around here using the non-pressure method, but I am new at it myself, so, should I start out not charging as much as an experienced person, or will this just set a low precedence for future work? I have seen the pictures on this site of what others have done, so I know the method works. But it seems like each time I read on here, I learn something that I hadn't thought about yet.

If you start out with a low price, you will stay there. Just by asking if you should charge less because you dont have the experence of others you are selling yourself short. A big problem with contractors is that they talk themselves into a low bid because they think of any reason that they can come up with as to why they should ask for less. They are an older couple, times are tough, they can't afford it, I'm just getting started, etc.....When you see a job that someone else has done and wonder " How did he get more than I would have charged"? The answer is simple. He ask for more than you do. I'm not saying that you can get whatever you want, just don't sell yourself short.

I once had a very successful contractor tell me to bid the work like you don't need it. What that means is don't low ball to get the work as you will not get the profit you need to successfully operate your business. This also means don't charge so much that you put yourself out of the market. Bid fair, competative & profitable.
Remeber you are in business to make money.

Stick to your guns when pricing/selling your service. Ask a few short probing questions andpause after each questions until they respond. Focus on price only after you have uncovered and addressed the prospects hot buttons. Price always will be an issue but seldom is it the only issue when closing business!!!
