It looks like a great idea for some folks, have you tried it with an air pump yet ? It should work just fine.

It takes the guess work out of premixing and also allows you to better control usage. Furthermore, it keeps your hypo and surfactants completely separate preventing bad mixes if you use anything with a pH < level 7 >. *Using a surfactant that is not hypo stable is not recommended.  We have separate twin 300 gallon tanks, one for tile roofs, and one for shingle that are all pre mixed.

A really steep roof is very rare, here in Florida.

Using this setup you have has the advantage that the whole tank is not full of how much and what kind of surfactant you chose to use.
