Well anyone using this new scent and if so how about some feedback?
Sorry I can't help you, but we have not tried it. Here in Tampa, where roof cleaning is as common as having your grass cut, there is little need to hide the smell.
However, I have done a fair share of research into where to get the stuff to mask the smell of the roof cleaning chemicals. Bell Flavors and Fragrances offers a product called Fresh and Clean Bleach Mask, as well as a few others, that are designed to be compatible with S H.
Like I said, people here in Tampa accept some grass clippings on the sidewalk when they have their lawns mowed, and they also accept the smell, when they have their roofs cleaned. At least, most of them do. We have cleaned over 20,000 roofs here, and only used scent masking products very infrequently.
Yes, a few of them do "complain", but then here is what we tell them. "Mr Customer, we could have watered the roof cleaning chemical down, to reduce the smell, but we chose to give you your money's worth, and use a sufficient concentration of the roof cleaning chemical to make your roof cleaning last a long time "
Thanks Chris, the reason I'm interested in masking the smell is to stop competitors knowing what I'm using. SH is easily available over here.
Well ..... Here is my experiences with many masking the scent attempts. Unless you use plenty of the scent masking chemicals, it never really TOTALLY masks it.
Especially after it all evaporates! I have dumped plenty of the scent masking chemicals into the tanks, done some roofs, and came back a day or 2 later, and guess what ?
I could still detect a bleach smell!
Some masking scents do mask the small, but then they turn the mix into something that IMHO smell much worse! This one stuff we used made roofs smell like a men's urinal
I hear that works pretty good Eric. We have no need or plans to hide the smell of our roof cleaning chemical, but check out the chlorine stable fragrance company I posted below, if you want to "play" with masking scents.
Also, try International Flavors and Fragrances Eric, they got the stuff too
If you use this chlorine masking scent technology all the time, you might as well save some money, and buy the stuff direct. Just think Bro, if you save some money, you will have even more to spend on Lisa
Hey, she's worth every penny you spend on her, and you are very lucky to have a girl like her, to help you in your business.
It is very effective as a cleaner mixed with SH, as well as smelling good too!
Composition for removing mildew containing H, bicarbonate and d-limonene US 5281280 A
RESUMEN
A composition for removing mildew is provided in composition comprising an aqueous solution of, by weight, about 2.75-4% S H, about 0.5-1% S bicarbonate and about 0.5-5% d-limonene. The composition is particularly effective in removing mildew, mold and algae from variety of household surfaces, such as wood, metal, ceramic and plastic without damaging the surfaces. The composition is applied to the surface, usually by spraying, and allowed to react with the mildew. After a few seconds, the mildew is easily removed by rinsing with water. Furthermore, this particular combination has additional advantages in that it can also act simultaneously as a de-greaser, while giving off a pleasant citrus-like aroma.
Chris, you are an encyclopedia of information, I have been trying to source d-limonene here in Ireland and in the UK for the last few days ( been raining all this week) but no joy everywhere I try they sell it in large containers and it is very expensive. I really have to nail down a scent or every fly by night will be cleaning roofs here. A scent with a a good surfactant and Im sorted. Hoping to have my van sign written in the next few weeks and also new brochures done up. I need to get sorted once and for all. Every year seems to fly by and this one is going faster than ever and I'm still not fully set up.
Now for the last time. WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THE PINK SCENT
I brain farted. It's elemonator that I have been using and I like it. I'm going to lodon for a couple weeks on Sunday. Michael, I could bring some for you to try but I know it's still a bit far. It's good stuff though. Boosts the strength of SH and has a light citrus smell. I also have roof snot and Cling on. Obviously it would just be a sample size.

Please, be very careful Eric, carrying unmarked chemicals on an Airplane! God forbid they think you are a terrorist, or something.
PWP is still accessible for business Chris. I was just there endure anniversary and had a pump on one of my burden washers repaired and best up a few parts. They in fact seemed appealing busy. Rex would still like to retire at some point but the man is a machine. I can't anytime see him retiring.

Hey Chris,..I still like using TSP,...especially on gray shingles,..nothings compares to it,...No need for any other soap in the mix when TSP is used. As I've stated before, no reason to make this complicated,...I think the experimenting with various soaps by different members comes from the need to "improve",...but at some point it really can't advance any further,..just adds expense.

I agree Jeff, nothing beats TSP, especially on light colores shingles, or a bare cement tile roof!
