Chris, i know you have concerns about using CH instead of SH. Could you please give a brief overview of these, also would it be possible to add a little S Peroxide to the mix to fire it up with oxygen? In Ireland we have mainly tile and slate (roofs natural and synthetic) I am concerned about using CH on these on the other hand SH is expensive and not that fresh. Looking forward to your reply, thanks in advance.

Chris will respond in detail as always.  In the interim, 'CH' leaves white calcium (the 'C') residue.  It creates quite the mess.

Good question Hickey, considering your circumstances. I am contemplating the reality of
having to spend a lot more time in the UK to be with my aging in laws. I figured doing
exterior soft wash cleaning would be easy, houses are mostly small and covered in GM.
I would be in London. What is the cost and availability of fresh SH where you are? Does
it come from Dublin or England? I'm gonna look into it when I'm over there in a couple
weeks.

The answer is no, CH is a weak oxidizer, and it will leave a white scale all over stuff. The answer is to find fresh SH

Eric, I pay 23-25 euros for 25 liters. SH is easily got where I live, in fact too many people know how good it is for washing walls, side walks etc etc. I would imagine it might be harder to find in London but you never know. Don't have any idea how much it would cost in the U.K.
