hey guys, i've noticed this site has slowed down the past few months and there hasn't been as much participation as there had when i first joined. i wasn't on here in december/january so i don't know if something might have happened to cause people to leave.
us northern guys are getting slammed right now so this month i wouldn't expect much participation, but even before this month i've noticed things slow down.
maybe we can infuse some fresh ideas into the site and voice our opinions on what we like and what we think can use some improvement around here.
Sorry but I have 58 decks to clean and stain. Not counting upsales once I get there. Have no time to infuse anything! Here is an infusion....Mo Money Mo Money!

I want RCIA to be all that it can be!
Here's some thoughts:
If you are new at this especially, besides roofs, do pressure washing-you can nearly double your per job income.
2500 sq' House $115.00 Pool Cage, Deck, Lanai $150.00 Driveway / Walk $75.00 Dock $25-$75 depending on size?
Remove rust from walls etc I average $50 to $150 and it takes 10 minutes to 30 minutes - if you use 20 -30% Muriatic Acid and the rest water. You can do almost as well with Oxilic Acid, but it costs much more and is slow and fails often. Below you will see a picture of an aluminum mailbox post. I did the small uncleaned looking area, with Ocilic and the rest with a 20% Muriatic mix. Then you will see it finished, by a quick hit with Muriatic acid in the end. I did the realtors sign too LOL.
I'll think of more, but I just got a call and have to go!

SEEYA!
Or, you COULD get your customers on a yearly spray plan
LOL, we have whole blocks we spray once a year, to keep them clean .... Fast, easy money, when times are slow
I've thought of offering maintenance, like you are talking about, but never did. How much can you charge on an original $500.00 job to go back yearly and shoot it out?

You must have several roofs in the same area, for it to work.

Spring cleanup usuall starts here mid March. Due to the warm weather we have had in Houston Texas Spring cleanup started a week before January ended and is still going strong. I do not have the time to participate like I used to. I still have not finished my new trailer that I was going to finish this winter. I am glad that this season is doing so well.
Our average job is coming in at 2G after having cleaned the roof, power washed the house, pressure washed the drive, patio, walkway, sidewalk, curb & pool deck. You are right Chuck, addons to roof cleaning add up.
