Unless I had a large crew I would pass. I would loose customers by not getting to them soon enough because I would be stuck on such a large job. Large jobs and most commercial jobs want the lowest bidder and that is not me. I insist on giving top notch, take no prisoners, and cut no corners kind of service. That does not come cheap.
That is waaay to much work for waaay to little. They would have been better off buying their own equipment years ago and keeping up with it in house with their own maintenance crew. Now they expect someone to come in and make it all look brand new again for peanuts. Not happening here! Next job please!
Here's the irony, that certain entity actually paid me more than that winning bid last year for piecemeal "small" projects that were no bid scenarios. The big government bids bring out the low bid crazies!
I agree with Brian's logic...sometimes the trophy case ain't good for the wallet!

$27,000, how is that even possible?? We bid more than that on a minor league baseball stadium. I'd charge $10,000 just for the restrooms and another $15-$20 for the reclaim.
Was it an out of town contractor that was awarded the bid? I didn't think there was anyone else in Tally with the man power or reclamation equipment to complete this in 30 days. I sense that this company will walk off the job half way thru the projuect once they realize how much money they are starting to lose.
