The pipe you were using is probably sdr 21. The plumbing you're doing is not under pressure so the sdr should be ok. The fittings will be the same, so no problem with using both. With that being said, I prefer the sch 40 because of the thicker wall construction. I feel safer when the plumbing gets bumped or incase something would fall on it.

I thinkI might have made a mistake.. I bought all the PVC pipe and fittings I needed to pipe my tanks.. Well i ran short on pipe and bought another length of it.. to find out that the new pipe is sch 40. The pipe I was using is not sch40 and is thinner..
All my pipes are out of the way and inside the van.. I was more concerned with how harsh SH is... A few hundred dollars and a days work is not worth it in the long run...
sorry Brian, I made a mistake on my pipe sizes. The thin wall pvc sold in the box stores is sdr 21. I would not use that for chemicals. SH manufacturers recommend sch 80 pipe which is thicker than the sch 40. I've always used sch 40 with no problems besides an occasional leak at a fitting or joint.
That's the nice thing about constructing it yourself though. I'm glad I went with the bandit on my original build but I'm looking forward to installing most of my next setup by myself. What specifically are you rethinking Brian?
I'm rethinking to put more thought into my build. I was trying for a quick build and keep it simple. I was trying to build with readily available parts and accessories. That way I wont have to special order repair parts an wait days. But now I'm thinking about just ordering extras of everything I'm using, as it is I'm keeping a spare fatboy plumbed, wired and ready as well as endless other parts accumulators, pressure switches, relays ect ect.
