Morning guys I received this photo last night from a customer he says he`s tried to remove these streaks from the garage door but thinks it`s bleached the paintwork !!! I`m thinking it`s actually cleaned the door and spraying the rest of the door should work, what are your thoughts boyz?
not sure if that will come out, happened to me once as one of my guys did the gutter above the door and didn't wet/rinse and it didn't come out ... great opportunity to show this customer how a true professional is going to handle this. promptly visit the property, see what you can do, and remind him that you're insured and this will be quickly taken care of.
That does not look like it is going to come out. Were these streaks from a roof mix, or did you clean the outside of the gutters above the door with something ?
I agree with Mike, you have a door to paint. I talked with Sherwin Williams and they said the pigments reacted with the ph of your mix. I wanted a better explanation but that was all he had.
I gotta hold my hand up boyz it was doing the gutters with 50/50 and quite obviously I missed/forgot to rinse arrrrgh but your right i`m going there today to man up and set a date for painting, can I do it with a roller?
Wow 50/50 is strong mix, I have never gone close to 50/50 , but i did have the same issue with garage doors and my ground guy missed the doors. I just sprayed the doors and then rinsed a few minutes later. But It lookes like you took all the pigment out of the finish.
Simon, I had my first call back in two years last week. Very similar situation with a red front door that had over spray from the gutter wash that dripped down the door and was missed by the ground guy (roof and gutter cleaning). I went back the next day and sprayed some of my roof mix (30/70) into a 5 gallon bucket, put on some rubber gloves and washed the door down with a rag soaked with the mix. It worked and the customer was happy. My streaks were white not green and might not work for you but thought I'd throw out my two cents.
Last resort .. just paint it and be done!

I always use 50/50 on roofs. One spray and on to the next one!!
wow, I only thought tile roofs required 50/50. I mix 35% - 40% and thats were im comfortable. Maybe Im missing something or I need to rethink my mixing. SH is $3.18 a gallon here NH
Sh isn't to bad here, not as cheap as FL. I mix strong so I don't have to 2 coat, every now and then I might have to hit a bad spot. SH is cheaper than me spraying 2 coats all the time and if you are spraying 2 coats you are using more anyway.

Right on. I use a 40% mix on all my roofs, I think when you have a BAD roof 40-50 doesn't make a difference most likely you will have to respray either way. Eric are we gonna be able to finally get the plows out?
