Hey guys. I was asked by a customer if this stain can be removed from an asphalt driveway. I have never really done rust removal so, I am not sure how to approach this. Any help or sugguestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
You might want to try a powdered form of wood brightner(oxalic acid). I've used it on asphalt shingles with various mixing ratios and had great success so why not try it on an asphalt driveway. Also, there is a company(http://www.front9restoration.com/) that promotes rust stain removal on concrete. You might want to reach out to them to see if you can apply it to your particular situation(asphalt).

I have a bottle of that. I am working on a mixture to match theirs and costs me less than half what they are selling it for. I have come up with something that works. Just need to fine tune it and have the time to work with it. To swamped with decks right now to take the time. Will work on it during the winter and let you know if you need some at a later time. Oxalic is way to slow and doesn't reallly work as good. But rust on siding or asphalt shingles, that is a different story. Oxalic removes it in minutes.

Eric, Hank is right. Try Oxalic if you have any and or if you can get it. If your in a pinch just run to Home Depot and pick up some Rust Aide. Comes in gallon jugs and is super easy to use.
