Well I gotta say the summer went quickly this year and I hope we all enjoyed ourselves especially with family. But up North here we are rounding the bend with about three months to go, and it will go quickly. Hopefully it stays warm like last year and we can hit some roofs in December. Get the sweat shirts ready...then the wool caps for late October!
Its been a great year Pat. I have 30,000 pieces of mail in 34 boxes waiting to go out when it slows up. But it hasnt slowed up. We knocked it out of the park as far as Augusts go. Im actually looking forward to blasting out the next 3 months then taking a looong break.
I started this season with the goal of 100 roofs. I am about 40 shy. I am hoping to finish up strong here in these last 3 months. Hoping when the leaves start turning colors people will see more roofs.
Our school districts here in the Poconos stage there returns for last Monday and today. Now parents can focus on their properties. We just did an estimate and closed on a property in Northpark Estates, which puts me close to $7000 for September. I'm not booked solid but I'm happier camper.

It seems I'M getting better at up selling. Earlier this year I wasn't focusing on gutter brightening and exterior soft washing. Also, the homes that I'm getting calls from now are larger than the ones I did earlier this year. The word is now getting around thanks to word of mouth and all the advertising(rock flyers, road signage and several small ads in the local newspaper) we've done.

My July and part of August sucked. Thank god I have other forms of income. The last nine days of August we worked every day with roof cleaning and soft washing. For September we have a ton of work coming our way if it ever stops raining. Overall I can't complain as this was my first year in business doing non-pressure cleaning and not only did we generate awareness but an income as well to keep me in a bass boat on weekends.

July and August were dead. I just had 500 check it out flyers made. I haven't thrown any serious rock flyers lately.
July was good but we mached march numbers for august and i am dissapionted about that but i didn't get hurt though which is always good. Been steady but this week is a litttle slower than i would like. I am thinking next week will pick up big time and start the next season till december.
Wow. Hank that is awesome. So far i have 400.00 booked for september. I am about to launch another post card campaign. That should fill up my september.Hopefully.
I am with you Dan. This is my second full season as a business owner. Starting out the season, I wanted to do 100 roofs. As of today we are sitting at 66 and have been dead. We have only washed 1 roof in three weeks! We have also been soliciting more and more commercial work ( I like the steady stream of income that produces). Closed 5 new accounts in the last few weeks with that, so that will be nice. They are on monthly and quarterly cleanings, so I will be able to keep some bologna in the fridge when it gets cold this winter.
Making a strong push these last 3 months for roofs and other residential work!
