I am trying to figure out snow plow pricing. I am ahead of the game, I know.

Here is a good picture I found of the lot.

I attached the aerial view.

I was trying to send this to eric as a private message but it wouldn't let me attach the photo.

Ray, I love the snow and I am hoping that I am going to love it a whole lot more $$$. Its been cooling down quickly here in PA, almost getting into fall / long sleeve weather. It's my favorite, no humidity, and perfect for cleaning roofs.

Hank I have been all over those sites, here is my assumption. You can learn a little bit from those sites but price varies way to much.

Ask Ed, the size of a 400,000 home in NJ is equivalent to a 200,000 home in PA. Same is true for driveways.

Dan

Dan, that is a hard lot to plow because of no where to stack the snow. I would say 125.00 to 175.00 to plow it and 85-100 for salting using 200-250lbs.

You use 200-250 lbs of salt? Wow how much will the spreader hold? Thanks for the pricing help eric sounds good.

Dan,

The answer you're looking for is all predicated on the type of spreader you're using. Most capacities are listed in cubic yards. I found this listed for weights:

Western Manual; Density --lb per a cubic yard--

Fine salt--1350#
Coarse salt (dry) --1215#
Coarse sand (dry) --2700#
Coarse sand (wet)--3240#
Cinders--1080#

I buy by the skid. It should take 5 bags at 50 lbs a bag. My salter holds 6 bags 300 lbs at a time.
