It's only Tuesday and I'm ready for this week to be over! Lost my Allflo yesterday, a 5850 today and as we speak, I am On my way to pick up a new Rigid air compressor to replace the one that gave out on me today! Guess I can't complain too much since they were all in their 3rd year of service. But still my wallet is hurting. It is much more fun purchasing equipment that isn't a replacement......like the 2nd pressure washer I bought last week!
I got a 30 gallon 13 hp air compressor that wont start at all sitting in my shed taking up valuable space. It needs 600 worth of work but i need another power washer. So the compressor will sit until my wallet is ready.

Yes, we have to prioritize these things. I landed a huge pressure washing job and had the need for another pressure washer, which is why I spent the money last week and it will come in handy after the big job is completed too. But the unexpected, replacement and repair costs kill me!

That is why you save for the hard times. I usually have a spare on hand of everything I use if not mounted and ready to go. Failure is not an option in my book. I had that happen once on a job and never again if I can help it.

You've got that right, Marcus. The 5850 was a spare, it was the very first one I bought. My Allflo is still under warranty so, it will be rebuilt and used as a spare. I also plan on replacing the compressor pump so, that will be my back up. I was able to get through the job thanks to the 12 v system I use for rinsing.

Yup. I have 2 pressure washers with me at all times. I have 2 5850 pumps all plummed and ready to switch if one quits and another in the back seat of the truck. I carry 2 batteries for the pumps, in case one dies or I forget to charge it. Plus all accessories, at least double. 4 downstream chemical injectors, 3 or 4 of each spray tip I use and 3 guns for roofs and 3 guns for pressure washing.
One day stopped, because you don't have a backup and it cots you more than the backup equipment costs.
Now, the air pumps and compressors-that's big $$$. That's why I stick with the 5850 pumps.
Anyway, sorry that happened to you!
Things always seem to break down in bunches!!!

I did not buy the pump by itself so I do not know. I bought it preassembled with the pressure washer from Envirospec at one of their training sessions. They sold it and other pressure washers at this event at close out prices. I can tell you this much, it sure puts out a lot of water and is great when cleaning a roof without gutters.
Eric, can't any of this stuff be repaired? With the exception of the 5850 pump, I would think that whatever went wrong with the other stuff it could be repaired. What went wrong with the compressor? As far as the all flo pump, they sell repair kits for them. Just thinking of your wallet.

The Allflo is under warranty and can be rebuilt so, I will have to send it out for repair. I ordered the one Chris T posted about earlier this week to replace it. When the Allflo is fixed, it will be my back up. I think it is the compressor pump, it won't hold pressure. I am looking into getting a replacement pump and replacing it, if that's what it is. But, I still plan on purchasing a new one and will use the repaired one as back up. After 3 years, I have certainly made my money back off of the equiptment so, I'm not too worried about it. Thanks Larry.
