That kind of chit is really expensive. So, I told this company to try and come up with something that is cheap, quick, and dirty
Tell me about it. I just ordered some Green Apple. $23 qt or $75 Gal. I get it from a company out of North Carolina but just caught wind that a company out of Kentucky (Southside Equipment) is going to start carying it also. This stuff is seriously concentrated and not watered down like a few vendors have done in the past and goes a LONG way. I use about 4oz to 50 gallons of roof mix.
Pretty curious to hear more about this cheaper stuff because we mix what we are going to use for the day so being chlorine stable really isn't a factor for us.

Who cares if it is only stable for a few days ?
As long as we can add it, then spray the roof, who cares if we have to add a little more in a few days, as long as it dont eat our mix up ?
Sounds good to me, I only mix up a 100 gallons at a time so I could care less if its stable. Being stable is a plus but not the deciding factor for me.
I hear ya Zack, and I feel the same way. We sometimes mix both our 300 gal tanks (one for shingle and one for tile) at the same time, and use that for 1/2 to one week between fill ups.
Seldom do out tanks have mix in them over a week old. I told that to this small company, and they seem very responsive to our needs. He is going to approach his chemical engineers with this question, and get me some samples.
He even asked me for a sample of our roof cleaning mixes!
I have been down many dead end roads before, so I am not getting too excited, but we will see ?
A few times a week, for one reason or another, I put a little vanilla in a handheld sprayer, diluted about 60/40 and spray the porch, door sounding concrete, or because maybe a bunch of neighbors that look like they would love a reason to cause a stir, just to mask the stink. Maybe in the front gutter. Always do it for homes that are for sale. Expensive skunk juice. If it's cheaper and really works, I would think it would sell.
The stuff we are currently using to mask the smell works good. I highly recommend adding a draw tube to add your surfactant and fragrance to mix it in the line as your shooting. It last longer, wont go bad and mixes better with no waste.
It is also nice that you can adjust your surfactant valve for different roof pitches.
Pretty slick Ugly! Do you sell those? PM me or give me a call. Instead of spending $20 in gas, visiting 3 different hardware stores, I would much rather buy one. If not, can you shoot me a parts list?
BTW Ugly...I just got my non-skid shoes that you said stick like glue to roofs but I think I would need a Spider Man web thrower to walk that roof! LOL I scuffed the soles on the driveway and ready to use them on a pretty good pitch roof on Saturday. In the back it has a pool cage and no way to shoot it from a ladder. Plenty of valley's so it;s all good!

Ray,
Apparently our surfactant draw system is set to self destruct according to Chris so we will need to change out a few pieces...
We just used refrigerator water line with a valve and a in-line T we got everything at at Menards.
The soles look like they have twice as much contact with the ground than my Nike's. I'm going to put them to the test in the morning. If you don't hear from me for a few weeks, then that means they suck and I'm in a full body cast.

Not to get off topic but what type of shoes are we speaking of? May like to get a pair.

Be careful and good luck with the shoes.
Actually, I forgot that the Nylon Pieces are not as exposed to the chemicals, but they will still see the gasses. NYLON is a Big No No around Chlorine, and in many ways you are actually better off with Brass.
Bronze is a forgotton metal when it comes to Chlorine resistance. It has as much or more chlorine resistance as stainless steel, and costs less.
You may be ok for a long time with the Nylon Bob, since there is no direct chemical contact, no need to panic.
But, knowing the perfectionist you are, I bet you are looking for PVC replacements.
