Check this out. A guy I been cleaning his gutter 3-4 years now emailed me. He cleaned out the lower 1 story gutters above the garage. Wanted to know if I would clean out the rest for half price?
Well I used his house in a vid last year, so I said I'll charge him for a townhouse.
That wasnt good enough to him and he said if I couldnt do it at half price, then to take his vid down.
I told him I own that vid. That he knew he was being recorded. Kinda obvious???
Dont we own the pics of houses we clean? Same with vids?
Do we need something signed?
I erased the vid. F 'em! lol!!! Told him if I couldnt make him happy with a basically at cost gutter cleaning, I'll make him happy and erase it.
Dont we own pics and vids of work we do? What if the customer is in the vid, or pic? So they have the right to royalties? Chit!
Ya know I dont know. Do we have any lawyers out there????

I would just remove the video and keep on plugging. It isn't worth the hassle, this guy could hurt you if he wanted with bad reviews. He isn't worth your time Mike.
Not sure of the legalities but if I had a customer demand to have a video with them in it removed I would do it happily. Unless of course there was a trade off of services for the video like bartering. Although if this was the case it would have been documented. Search for a forum for lawyers or legal matters and questions.

+1 to exactly what Zack says.
Don't worry... be happy.
Ditto +1. This time of year can't let anything distract you from your prime goal which is to make a profit. Pull the movie an go make some money Mike.
Royalties? How much are you making from selling dvd's? I love the "half price" customer who's only means of income in their life came from some cushy big employer. We just put together a price list that contains prices for 1/2 roofs a whole roofs. Its about $30-$40 difference for most roofs with a fraction of the guarantee.
He now has a taste of what it takes to clean gutters 10' off the ground. Standing on a ladder 20' up is a whole different world. I think once he realizes his offer was to low he will be calling.
