Has anyone ever tried Muck Shoes? I am assuming they would be SH resistant being made of rubber. I am curious as to how they would wear for long periods of time. They seem pretty rigid and I wonder if they would flex in order for your foot to grip the rungs of a ladder. Any thoughts?
We like Safe-T-Step shoes great griping power for ladders and roofs, its the same shoes fast food employees wears around grease. Comfortable to wear not stiff, awkward or clunky.
I bought your standard black rubber boot for $10 at Tractor Supply, the boot is good for a ground guy, but not made for a guy on the roof. My roof shoes are from shoesforcrews.com they are the same thing the uglies are talking about they are designed for oil spills on tile kitchen floors.
Thanks for the advice guys! I think I am going to go with the Safe-T-Step shoes. I generally try to avoid walking on the roofs but, when it's a must more traction would be great.
Thanks for the links. Payless showed a pair of hightops which I like for ankle support when on ladders or roofs. I'll buy white if they have them to keep the heat down. Soles also look non-agressive...safer for the roof.

I just wore a pair of Great White Rubber Boots from shoebuy.com. The boot was made for ship mates on wet slippery fishing decks, so we tried them out. I have a size 13AA foot, so finding any boot that will work is pretty hard. I put in my hard plastic arch support and spent all day perched on ladders and came home with no pain in my back and dry feet! NOT a bad thing.
They have everything under the sun at that site. Hope these can help some.
There must be something to be said for Ugly Shingles endorsement. I have never seen guys more willing to live above the edge!

That's great info. Keeping my feet dry, comfortable and minimizing sliding off a laddar is always a plus! Wonder if they make something ankle height?
