really? ive been pressure washing for a few years now and never heard of that.. and have a 375 gallon tank in the one van.. do you have a link for that info?

That rule is only for chemicals and does not apply to water. try looking up federal dot. im not exactly sure.

Thanks guys, i decided on 2 150 gallon tanks.. i'm gonna mix at the pump and put a pinch/ball valve on the SH line to adjust the mix. I'm thinking that will get me the best roof per reload time on the truck.

I've got one of those caged tanks to carry just H2O, but plan on getting another to use as a mix tank.

If you plan on 4 roofs a day. then carrying a 100 gallons of SH will be plenty. Remeber DOT only allows for 119 gallons before you are required to be placard up along with a cdl.
From what I understand, it's a 1000lbs or 119 gallons, whichever comes first. And with sodium hypochlorite, we are limited to 100 gallons because it weighs 10lbs per gallon.

I bought my 125 from Tractor Supply, it was the only place I could find in my area.

i ended up getting (2) 150's.. ened up being around 450 shipped. plastic depot i think was the site.

I've been told to steer clear of the tanks with the valves in the bottom due to their eventually leaking, but I would like to get a couple 125 gal or 150 gal tanks for mix to put in my box truck setup.

ive been told that also. but i like them for clean outs.

I think the bulkhead thing is left over from the old days where a hole was cut in the tank and a bulkhead was installed. The bulkhead had a rubber gasket on both sides and would probably leak after a period of time.

Todays tanks are molded with a threaded opening in the bottom which allows you to install a shut on/off valve by screwing the fitting onto the molded thread. IF it ever starts leaking you're looking at replacing a $1.00 gasket, and if you coat in silicone at installion it will NEVER leak.

Idk bulkheads are cheap. you could replace every year if you wanted.
