Just rather curious what you would charge for a project like this . 4 building, each building is three stories...

Really though... the way you have been landing all the previous commercial projects, your bid that you submitted was probably right on target but they took someone that's just looking to cover overhead and keep their crew busy. Tallahassee is small and I'm in that area alot. I'll keep an eye out for ya. There are only a few people in town that can handle those units.
I was shocked I didn't get this one. Already had a lift for another project, so didn't figure that into cost, plus working right around corner, so I could easily pull crew off that job since I was in the area. PM told me they got SIX bids, so with that much competition you are bound to get a couple of lowballs in there.
Job was done by company with no names on vehicle, or logoed work shirts form what I could tell. Was a newer white yukon pulling a small white enclosed trailer with no signage.

Was it a different PM than you dealt with in the past? I wonder how freely he would share the other bids with you. Would be interesting to see how bad that guy lost his azz.
I over bid everything, I just cannot get this pricing down thing at all, I priced this job at $1700. to do the house, cage, roof, soffits, gutters, all concrete including the insides of the 3 garages, anything and everything exterior.
It was an REO property and had been sitting for quite some time. Down in Fl, that means a huge mess of spiders and daubers etc.
Wow, man Florida pricing is crazy! we'd be more be a little more than 1k per unit. For comparison, we bid more than double your price on this commercial property in Severna Park, MD and they are only one story...
Yikes, by my calculations, if the pitch is 4/12 on those buildings it would be 91 squares and at 5/12 it would be 94 squares per building. Outbid at $0.06 - $0.07 sf. I don't think I'll be starting a roof cleaning biz in Florida.
