I have been very sick, with a cold or flu. But, what really messed me up, was that my son, who has worked 18 years straight for me, made a sudden decision to take a 10 day vacation. The 1st day he was gone and I had to do the work myself { At 63 years old } I came down with this illness. I have had to work from morning to night and come home so sick and worn out, I haven't been turning the computer on. The last 2 nights, I fell asleep in my chair watching TV at around 8:30 at night.
If I ain't dead when this ordeal is over,
"I'LL BE BACK"
Chuck

Many Kids have NO sense of responsibility to the business, which is why you always need a back up plan. My Son is pretty good, he is a real trooper, and will bust his ass, as long as he aint out too late with some chick
We have all missed you Chuck, hang in there brother, it will get better.

Thanks guys!
My son deserved to take a vacation, [ He has missed 2 days of work in 18 years because of sickness-both days he showed up for work, he didn't call in-I sent him home. There was just a miscommunication as to "when". Either way, I would have had to do it all while he was gone. I just happened to get this cold or flu on day ONE!
See you all when it's over!
Like Arnold says "I'm not like the girlie mans in San Francisco" so I'll be back!
But it sure does feel lousy!

Chuck, hope you feel better soon. And when your son get's back, he will be working like crazy. Nothing like an extended vacation to make you work harder. Try gargling with hydrogen peroxide. I do every time I feel a little sick. It kills the germs, and shortens, or stops the illness all together. Go this piece of advise from a dentist years ago.

Thanks Dave! I'll go try that now!
My throat has been bad for the whole week I've been sick!
Did a roof yesterday + Pressure Washing and today, just pressure cleaning, tomorrow another roof + pressure cleaning work.
Got 2 jobs Sunday morning too! Both just pressure cleaning, but one is a physicians commercial building [thus Sunday] and the other a 2 story Gulf becancerh house-2 stories and about 6000 sq ft under roof.
Of course, my son has done this 18 years for me and is 33 years old, so what is taking me long days, he'd do in 6 hours or so!
I'll be glad when he's bcancerk, next Tuesday!!!
Here's yesterdays roof-Didn't want it walked on?

I know how you feel. Us 63 yr olds have to stick together. Had a bad run in the middle of this past summer with all the heat a lot of jobs and both helpers not available.. I'm still trying to re hydrate.
Hey Chuck, I hope you feel better soon. Where was your ground man in the pics. I did not see gutters on that house.
The ground man was my other son Jeremy. He's not well trained at this work, but he can water like crazy!
He took the pictures too, in most cases.
This is him, giving me a pressure washing break. He worked with me every day, setting up, watering, picking up, pulling hoses and training some with everything except getting on roofs, he has a bum leg.
Sorry to hear about your sons leg chuck. Is using high pressure water to clean the building? Is that stucco?
Thanks Marcus, this is just an average pressure washing job- aluminum trim and stucco walls. We apply SH with the downstream injector on like half the building and go back and pressure clean it back off. My 18hp / 5.6GPM machine is set at 2500 psi, so that I get the most water flow and I use 25/80 or 40/80 tips for cleaning and 25 or 40/65 for chemical application.
Just a normal pressure washing, except that this was a commercial medical office building.
